Lappeenranta, Finland, 26. July 09

Lappeenranta, Finland, Sunday26th of July, 2009. I travelled from Vaasa to Lappeenranta to see my aunt and other Ruskeepääs for her 50th birthday. The trip took 4 switches and 8 - 11 hours and made me tired at work -I arrived back in Vaasa monday morning 1 h before work after having slept on the floor of the Seinäjoki railway station. ;)

Huhtiniemi Camping is 3 km west from the train station. It is a camping area besides the Saimaa hosting around 20 beds for 10 € a night. This could be the cheapest in whole of Finland.

even the cemetery is pretty..I like how there's so many trees in the cemetery standing guard...so unlike many ones in the US .Beautiful Finland!!

It appears the terrain is not too hilly or is that an illusion? That was quite a trek & to make it back just in time for work..very good!! Kudos!! thanks again for sharing...

07:00 jumped off fully dressed one summer night, then whent to pee in the bushes and set down in a nettle.. Polliisi came to chase us away, knocked a young man on the head and did not believe I did not speak finnish... Then years later my brother stripped down naked at 1:32.. and wondered why we could not get a taxi cab afterwards lol.. Good old Lappeenranta and at 1:58 my great grand mother is burried .. Thanks for listening, you been a great audience :)
