Hi everyone! Welcome to my Monster Hunter Freedom Unite Walkthrough.
Now before I get started explaining anything on quests and so on, I will give you a quick run down on what I'll be doing for these videos, so as you know I've previously made a MHF Walkthrough for all the Village Chief quests, now this may end up the same way depending on how recording/converting goes, as it's quite the lengthy process.
I will only be recording the quests, but don't worry I'll be sure to post up the information weapons/armor/decorations I will be using for said quests, along with item suggestions and so on.
Please be sure to read/check the video description before asking any questions, as you may find your question answered within the description.
Well, our first quest into the new world of Monster Hunter, quite alot has changed since Monster Hunter Freedom, it's a pretty huge leap but we'll walk through it together, get it? 'Walk through'? It's a walkthrough.. okay, I'll stop, anyways here we go.

Ah yes, your first quest!
You start off at "camp" no monsters can reach you here, so you're safe. Inside the hut/tent, there is a bed that you can lay in that heals you if your health has been reduced, keep this in mind for the future, you'll want to save your healing items.
The blue box at camp contains supply items, which are free, so be sure to take them if needed. The items that are considered "Supply item" are removed from you at the end of the quest, so don't go saving them expecting to take them back with you.
Knowing your items:
First Aid Med: Restores Health (green bar)
Ration: Stamina boost (yellow bar below health bar)
Mini Whestone: Restores sharpness (sword icon on screen, game will inform you when your weapon has been dulled & is in need of sharpening, sharpening is very important, remember that)
Portable Spit: A portable BBQ spit used to cook Raw Meat, always count 3 seconds after the music ends and you should have yourself a Well-Done Steak, any sooner will be a Rare Steak, any later will result in you getting Burnt Meat.
Anyways this quest isn't difficult at all, your objective is to deliver 5 Mountain Herbs, they're commonly found at the top of the Snowy Mountains within area 6, 7, and 8.
If you've not explored the area too much yet I suggest you do so now, take the time to gather items and grow familiar with the environment around you, as you'll be using these resources for the next few quests.
When you're all done return back to camp and deliver the Mountain Herbs in the large Red Box or just press start and deliver them through the Deliver option while searching through your Items. (:
You make me want to play this game again. I've been leaving MHP2ndG (not planning to buy Unite, even though it's already released in my zone) because I'm more suited with the Japanese writing in the game.
Anyways, I may pick this game back up for once in a while. It'll be good for me to switch from all that shooting in MGO and the zapping from inFAMOUS for the PS3 to the monster hunting in MH.

Haha there's nothing like watching someone play Monster Hunter that makes you want to get back into Monster Hunter. I'm using the Data Install function as well as Background Loading. Pretty fast IMHO.
What's your PSN? I'll add you sometime. I also need to buy both MGS4 and inFAMOUS. =/
