BLACKSTAR HT DISTx

small test of my DISTx with a BAD MONKEY and My VK mod with CELESTION V30.This as beem recorded with my cellphone..so the audio it is not the best..This pedal acts like an amp , and you can get ANy type of sound ( hi-gain sound ) out of it!
one ofthe best distortion pedals ive played untill now!

Do you really need to use the bad monkey with this pedal. I think the blackstar sounds good by itself and that Digitech is ruining its tone

poor fan, it lost its 2 feet.. im going to buy an effect pedal this dec, which do you think is a god choice Blackstar HT-distx or Vox TL-ST,.. i love the pure valve filth tone of BS but Vox has more to offer,.. what do you think?

Im running trough the clean channel..the pedal has the respons like an anp...the eq that i use on the amp is flat , and yes the sound his made only by the htdistx and Bad monkey! A screamer is very important to achieve this type of crunch. Thanks to everyone.

are you using a tube amp? is there a difference incomes to sound if you use solid state amp? cuz i know you only need the clean channel right?

there is no gin from the bad monkey that will make the ht-distx sound like it is worth shit. If you want that tone specifically your going to need to buy a valve king amp. it was all level on the bad monkey Zero Gain.... The gain is from the 3 pre-amp tubes an 2 power tube in the amp. Question for the poster* what is the the max Input level for that amp? doesn't that amp have a High gain and a low gain jack? just wondering, most amp wont allow that much gain without feedback issues

It would work, but it wouldn't give you that tube saturation that youd get from putting a bad monkey or another boost pedal infront of it. Putting an eq infront of it is like raising the volume of it if your just changing the gain.
