Sweet 3 - Like a Love Thang

Music Video for Like a Love Thang by Sweet 3.

This promo was commissioned by East West Records sometime in the Nineties, quite early in my career, and the budget was very low as I remember, so we shot the entire video in one continuous take.

We filmed it at a disused hospital in Aldershot, Hampshire, UK, and by the time we set up we only had enough time to shoot 3 takes before we ran out of light. This video is the third of those three takes.

So, we ended up shooting the whole thing with just one 400ft roll of 16mm film.

I hadn't watched this video for years until a few days ago, and it brought a smile to my face - it's a bit rough at the edges but it's colourful and fun and I recall the record company were very happy with it.

Note the visual nod to U2's 'The Sweetest Thing' video as the video approaches the end...

Location is round the back of the Cambridge Military Hospital in Aldershot. Hospital closed in 1996 so must have been not long after that. The Louise Margret was the maternity wing not shown in this video. Great video and song
