Remember Reach

Located in the Epsilon Eridani system in FLEETCOM Sector One, the planet Reach was one of the most important headquarters for the UNSC and the main supplier of military and civilian spacecraft.
On August 30th of 2552, Reach was attacked by a massive fleet of Covenant Ships. The Battle was long, harsh, and heavy casualties were inflicted on both sides.
Reach fell, the UNSC forces were scattered, and nothing stood in the way of the Covenant, and Earth.
Bungie promises to tell the tale of the fall of the greatest military powerhouse Humanity erected against the Covenant onslaught.

This video is a follow up to my previous video and tribute to the Human-Covenant War in general, not just the Battle of Reach itself. Feel free to ask questions, leave comments and send messages about the Halo story, lore, and continuity, and I promise to try and answer your questions, as I did with my previous video.

Most that read this might not know what I'm talking about but if you've read First Strike (SPOLIER) I find it amazing how when they capture the Covenant ship, they beat so many other Covenant ships in an almost completely destroyed ship.

It makes for some decent tension yeah, but I'd attribute it to the fact that they have the element of suprise, a superior AI piloting the thing, and the fact that the Covenant Assault Carrier (I believe thats what it is) is way way way bigger than most covenant corvettes and destroyers.

@MystDragon3k And not to forget that Cortana pimped their weapons. Which was a bit poorly explained, why the Covenant never thought of focusing their weapons to a beam imho. But apart from that i enjoyed the book

@Keyes66 I think the reason the Covenant never improved their weapons was that they either couldn't figure out how, or thought it was blasphemy to alter forerunner technology any further than they had. Part of the main flaw of the covenant is that they imitate technology, not innovate and improve like humans do.

I honestly think it would be epic if Microsoft (as they now have the rights to the Halo franchise) would make a game showing all of the space based battles, as if you read the halo books, there are many, and all of them were intense.

Nothing stood in their way way except one badass squad of Spartans. Remeber Reach. Remember Noble Team. Remember what they sacrificed in order to save humanity. Remember Carter, Noble 1. Remember Kat, Noble 2 Remember Jun, Noble 3 (Though he is alive) Remember Emile, Noble 4 Remember Jorge, Noble 5 Remember Six, the hero who sacrificed everything. (Though he/she could be alive.)

If they had to make a movie about one of the books, it should be Contact Harvest, First Strike or Ghost of Onyx. I really liked Fall of Reach, but if they had to make a movie of it, then they have to show Johns face.
