NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams - Donbalon

Now that all of the regular chase missions have been uploaded here, the next batch of NiGHTS videos will be the "revenge" boss battles. That is, you might have seen each of the six normal bosses in the chase missions: Donbalon, Chamelan, Cerberus, Girania, Bomamba, and Queen Bella. Well, each of these six bosses come back later in the game with a vengeance.

They were actually holding back before. Each of these bosses return, this time designed to give NiGHTS an even harder time. Donbalon is the spherical boss of Pure Valley. The goal here is to bump him up to the top of the stage, where a set of spikes wait to pop him into little pieces. People who played the original NiGHTS might feel reminiscent of Puffy, the equally spherical opera singer whom NiGHTS had to deliver to the spikes to pop as well. Donbalon is a step up from Puffy, as his playing field is vertical instead of horizontal. This means that you need to keep very close attention to Donbalon at all times, or he'll fall and you have to catch him again to bring him back up.

This rematch against Donbalon puts NiGHTS in a much much taller arena than the original battle against Donbalon that culminates the Pure Valley chase mission. It also has a greater number of obstacles, as well as a lot of moving ones. NiGHTS gets 300 seconds instead of the regular 180 (and the same goes with all "hard" boss battles), but you can see that it's still all too easy to run out of time if you make too many mistakes.
