I was just thinking about this yesterday. For the past what? Forty years, the medical community has been waging a war against the negative health effects of smoking. Yet those we've elected to protect the interests and health of all citizens have seen fit to allow cigarette manufacturers to add even more hazardous chemicals to an already over-chemicalized product.

FSC or fire safe cigarette laws were passed state by state using deception and misinformation. FSC cigarettes greatly increase health risks for smokers. Smoking-related fires have actually increased for smokers in New York, the first state to pass the law. Do a search for Huffington Post by Rebecca Brooks.

@hoopdoop71 ....It's that exact attitude that has skyrocketed health care costs across the nation. Most POOR people eat like crap, take drugs, and smoke ciggies. They have no health insurance, so they get into the healthcare system for treatment without any intention or ability to pay for services. So guess who pays for them?? TAXPAYERS!!! I am all for freedom to do whatever you want, as long as you sign a waiver for society to take care of your health when you are mortally ill!

I was waiting to hear how acrolein was proven to be in the FSC cigs. I heard that EVA was the bad drug in FSC tubes...Ethyl Vinyl Acetate. Also, we live in the most free country in the world? We have more laws to suppress our people than the Jewish Torah. We have more people incarcerated than the all modern countries combined. We have lawmakers passing new laws daily to restrict freedoms. Try Costa Rica for FREE! Or many European countries! And try "snus" to get your nicotine. Very SAFE!

I don't understand why the politicians just don't fuck off with the FSC bullshit. The fires caused by smoking are minimal and anyone stupid enough to lie down in bed with a lit cigarette in their mouth deserves to die on their burning mattress. Pretty soon ALL cigarettes in the US will have this shit as the manufacturers will realize it's cheaper to produce the one product. In Canada I roll my own to avoid it and in Washington state I can buy non-FSC Lucky Strikes but who knows for how long?

You dont have to stop smoking your brand the chemical they are using burns off at 160 degrees F ... what i do is take a pack ( first pack the smokes hard) pre heat the oven 325 degrees empty the smokes out on a baking pan and cook them 3-5 minutes if longer then 3 minutes to make sure you got it all turn the smokes half way through the process. Be very careful when you open your oven and do not breathe try to keep your eyes away too cause that shit burns likea M0F0 ... take dat Gubmint
