This was my first ever IDPA / USPSA style match. The first set of targets were at 18 yards, they had to be engaged by shooting between a set of hostages, the second set of targets was at 11 yards, which included 3 plastic pepper poppers. (not as satisfying as metal but cheaper!)

All of my paper shots were on target, most paper targets had at at least one A shot with a few AA's

I ejected two live rounds as a result of training, I don't carry the gun with a chambered round so I'm used to racking the gun every time I pick it up. However the bad habit cost me precious seconds at the end when I had to reload to finish the last target.

The firearm is a Sigma, SW40VE, It has been 100 percent for me, and I am VERY happy with how it preformed today! I can't believe how much gun you can get for $399!

I am officially HOOKED on practical shooting! This was so much more fun than Call of Duty!

  • Excellent job, glad to see you sporting the sigma!

  • of course! Its not the same gun it used to be tho, I'm very close to having it completed. I think I will have to make a Sigma System review soon.

  • Good job.

I start IDPA next weekend. They actually shoot outdoors and have actual doors to shoot around , but starting out at 7 yards and 10 yards.

I will be using an FNP-40, but always open to other guns . My Sig P239 and 1911 don't hold enough rounds. We start with 10 rounds per magazine.

  • I'm glad you discover the fun of competition shooting. I too, started in some local small shooting (semi IDPA), and it was fun. Only down side was you don't get to go again and again.

  • Fuck yes dude! Coming along well!
