Medtner - Canzona Serenata Forgotten Melodies I Op. 38 No 6

My favourite piece to play right now, a beautiful gem of simple, yet haunting melodies in complex and at the same time accessible harmonies. Medtner is another nearly forgotten composer, and his now ironically named Forgotten Melodies (I) are the most amazing work i've seen in a long time, i just can't get the No 3 Danza festiva out of my head, listen to it if you like this!

Unfortunately, this is more of a practice recording. i'm quite happy with most of it, but there are some problems with the interpretation, most of it i've already played better. for example, i accidentally play the bottom melody in the introduction way too apparently, which should only happen at the end of the piece. And i still need to work on this one furious technical passage. But there's always room for improvement, after all a piece is never finished, only abandoned :)
