This was recorded at the 2006 Moanalua Aloha Concert @ The Neal Blaisdell Concert Hall.

Under the direction of Elden Seta, The Symphony Orchestra has the distinction of being the first student orchestra to ever be invited to grace the stage of New York's Carnegie Hall in 1998. The Orchestra did it a second time in 2005.

This is the 2005-2006 Symphonic Symphony Orchestra performing Georges Bizet's "Carmen Suite"

Part 1:
I: Prelude
Ia: Aroganaise
II: Nocturne (Mikaela's Aria)

Part 2:
III: Habanera
IV: Les Dragons de Acala
V: Les Toreador

  • Wow even with this quality of video I can tell these kids are excellent musicians. Just imagine sitting in the concert hall watching them live. It must have been magnificent!

  • @GodsThirdHand Thank You for your comments! Even on the other videos I've uploaded with my 2nd account. It's a shame that most of the top quality recordings are kept in the Music Programs Archive and not shared online. I swear I would do anything to persuade them to upload it, even old videos of the Marching Band. These are mostly home videos that my parents filmed of me & my bro when we were in these groups back in the day and they are not so top quality.

  • It is quite the experience to perform/be part of a prestige program with such dedicated Directors who only pursue success for every member who enters the program. Many of the life lessons I've learned are through them, and taken with me (if not everyone) when they graduate. Through filming voluntarily, I am able to post videos for those who are not able to see such performances LIVE. Funny you mention it, I actually miss the friends I made in SWE (symphonic wind ensemble). Thanks for Watching :)
