It's one of his many nicknames, along with Cheese, Cheesy Bits, Chicken, Chicken Head, and Asshole. He will come to a reenactment of a George Bush press conference if I have a piece of cheese in my hand. His real name is Chester, and he comes to that, too.

I've known Vinne for twenty years and remember him first acquiring Norbert way back when. Had the chance to see him pull the hairy little guy out of his pack and loved the reaction on the face of the artist.
