Absolute Klasse!

@MSUTri I agree with you there; an amazing stereo recording will pull you in just as easily. But, as a person who spends so much of their time in headphones, sometimes the difference between the two recording methods can make a huge difference. Though, I have to say its interesting to listen to this with and without headphones and hear what is lost due to cross-talk.

Is this the Neumann KU100?
They should have mounted that thing on a slow turntable. ;)

that looks like tons of fun. i would love to record using a dummy head. i can't tell you what i can just imagine on doing with a binaural recording

@chueey14 He or she was probably using the Beats.

this dummy sounds good!

how could one person dislike this video?

@meggerman It's not quite that simple. Go to HDtracks.com and download the free samples they have to see what normal recordings can be like if mic'd right and not ruined with horrible mastering. Oh, and they sound good on speakers too (not to take anything away from binaural recordings, which have their own place).
Alternatively, there's plenty of (relatively) popular albums out there that are very high quality - try Couldn't Stand The Weather or Brothers in Arms, for example.
Ecept for the image wich looks a bit different, from the soundstage, the acoustics are excelent, and the soud is very pleasent and relaxing to hear.
This sound experience, i also lived inside of Renault Megane 3 Arkamys wich sounds divine and great, in terms of soundstage and listening, and Sagem my700x wich haves Arkamys buit in and the acoustics of that phone are similar to the Megane, and i will buy one, it's a great car.

@connectorxp Arkamys has not yet started work on improving the sound for PCs, but we are looking to implement that in 2011.
At the end of this year Arkmays will be signing a deal to implement it's technology in TVs offering a large sound stage without adding any extra hardware.
