Michael Arden (and an entire choir!) perform "Run Away With Me" by Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk at the last New York City stop of "You Made This Tour" at (Le) Poisson Rouge on March 27, 2011.

CHOIR: Raja Burrows, Celia Hottenstein, Danny Harris Kornfeld, Paul Louis Lessard, Lauren Lukacek, Grace McLean, Michael Mendez, Paige Neal, Kent Overshown, Harry Perrin, Diane Phelan, Jon-Michael Reese, Kathleen Rooney, Gavriel Savit, Jonathan Shew, Hilaire C. Smith

YOU MADE THIS TOUR is a result of Kerrigan-Lowdermilk's Kickstarter campaign to raise money for their first album, "Our First Mistake". The evening was directed by Daniel Goldstein and produced by Brian Lowdermilk in association with Michael Cassara and Rachel Routh. The band consisted of Brian Lowdermilk (piano), Molly Gachignard (additional piano), Dave Eggers (cello), Justin Goldner (bass), Laura Lutzke (violin), Mike Rosengarten (guitar/banjo), Adam Stoler (guitar) and Kevin Garcia (drums). • No to choir. Too much.

  • Michael Arden, stop being flawless.

  • I like this arrangement with the choir.

    Yes, it is different.

Yes, it changes the quality/emotional feeling of the song.

So what? Songs get reinterpreted all the time. What I do take issue with is the sound mixing in the venue. When people are saying that the choir drowns out Michael Arden's voice and thus he's being forced to either project more to rise above them... well I'd say their sound engineer in the venue didn't do his job properly to ride the levels of a live performance.

  • Thumbs up to Mikey... But Thumbs down to the UNNEEDED choir!

  • I love the acting on this version. I like him better when he sings alone though.

  • Michael Arden without a doubt is amazing but I definitely veto the choir. As with many of the comments, I agree that a choir was not necessary and that it DID take away from the emotional intensity of such a beautiful piece. And drowned out Michael a few times which I immensely disliked.

  • A choir does not work in this piece. This is a heartfelt song sung by one to one. I found the choir quite intrusive, which forced Michael to reach his peak too early. I still think Michael is an incredible singer/performer and he has the definitive version of this song (the Laurie Beechman performance). But it's good to hear Michael sing this song again.

  • @WHATTHEBUCKSHOW wow buck...
