I don't understand why the letter "O", sometimes is spelled "A" and sometimes "O". What is the rule in spelling "O"? Thanks!

Хм, сам я носитель языка, но даже если ты его выучишь то потом будешь всю жизнь учит разнообразные правила. Многие смеются на тем как русские выговаривают некоторые букву, но даже у вас при произношении слов, вы смягчаете слово:)

Even though I have studied Russian for 26 years and worked several times as an interpreter, I like your videos to find Russian slang that I might have missed. I like the pure Russian. My wife is from the Ukraine and her family mixes Russian & Ukrainian together. It drives me crazy!

Does the Western cultural tradition regarding mistletoe and kissing while standing under it apply in Russia?

@blackturtleshow No, it doesn't, if you would like to learn more about the Russian celebration of Christmas - you can read my article "Christmas Magic in Russian Culture". Words that have been included in these two videos are primary related to Western celebration of Christmas.
