MHRMI Macedonian Human Rights Week

Macedonian Human Rights Movement International (MHRMI) is pleased to announce MHRMI Macedonian Human Rights Week, June 14-21, 2009. MHRMI honoured the President of EBLUL and a member of Vinozhito, Nase Parisis, as well as a member of OMO "Ilinden" - PIRIN, Stoyan Georgiev.
Events were held all week throughout various cities in North America, culminating with a fundraiser on Sunday, June 21 at 12:30pm at St. Clement of Ohrid Macedonian Orthodox Cathedral in Toronto. Lunch was served and the honoured guests and MHRMI gave an update on the current human rights situation of Macedonians in the Balkans.
MHRMI envisions a future where Macedonians, specifically in Greece, Bulgaria, Albania, Serbia and Kosovo, are officially recognized and can enjoy the most basic of human rights such as freedom of speech, freedom of worship, and respect for their right to self-identification as Macedonians.
MHRMI works directly with all Macedonian human rights organizations in the Balkans and provides vital financial and logistical support for their activities. The Macedonian communities of the world are organized, energized and determined to pursue their struggle for universal human rights.
