Illegal Manoeuvres - Hawaii

This is the Hawaii section from a bodyboarding DVD that I produced back in 2003. The footage was shot by Chris Adams when he went over there around Christmas time in 2002. Illegal Manoeuvres shows the skills of some of the then up and coming names in the sport. The full DVD is still available and contains rare footage of Joel Taylor as well as many other extra features. I still have copies, if you want one message me and I'll relist on Ebay again. Hey Ben...

Who was the guy who made those two huge drop ins to the Waimea Shorebreak?

I grew up on Oahu and have done the shorebreak there at 8 to 10....but that was just crazy.

I know it's been a couple of years but do You remember his name?

@Benjamite Yea we did it was like 12ft and barreled amazing I was going out, but Im only 13 so my parents didnt let me. I was so pissed. But my friend went out and he said it was the best waves ever, but he also got killed alot

At 12 to 15, that kid amazed me just for being able to place himself so perfectly.

The bay sucks our hard and being in the right spot is insanely difficult.

Too close to the shore....caught inside..

Too far out...can't make the drop and over the falls ( they used to yell, "PLATE LUNCH!!" from the shore. :-/
