Clark, my grandson, is in a body cast
because of a broken femur... He's
figured out how to turn this disadvantage into an advantage.

  • I love this video!! I had to look it up today b/c I was thinking about Clark during lunch today. Love y'all!! - Sanna :-)

  • Sanna....

It's hard to believe that was just a year ago... He really healed up well. Glad you

enjoy it so much! Clark is such an entertainer!

    Hugs, Jack

  • I love the spinning! :-) I also understand everything your family is going through. Several years ago my son, who was 3 at the time, broke his femur as well. He had surgery to place pins and rods, weeks in a traction bed in the hospital and then a full-body cast at home for 8 weeks. During the hottest summer months he was in plaster from his chest to his toes! Today he's almost 10 years old and has no problems - he wrestles, plays football and soccer.

Good luck to your grandson! :-)

  • berlymom1...

Clark is going full tilt again and is perfectly healed! In the next week he will become a big brother for the first time. We can wait to meet this new addition to the family!

So glad to hear your son healed so thoroughly also!

  • Thank you for posting that. So many parents are scared to death of that cast. I run a help group on yahoo for Legg Calve Perthes disease. If you don't mind, I'm going to post a link for the parents there. Brian

  • Brian...

You're very welcome.... Clark's dad told me

to adjust the Tags to include Spica and Cast

so that folks just like yourselves might find this video! Jack - Clark's grand dad....

  • that is funny. kids are always so optimistic in the worst of circumstances. i hope he gets better real soon, and i hope he still wants to run after that comes off. best of luck to all
