  • Anyone know what this rebel scum's voice sounded like? I have to play him in a student film?

  • Wouldn't have a clue (no audio recordings then) but he was considered an accomplished actor of the time so I figure he had a good, clear speaking voice.

  • a good book is chasing lincoln's killer by jameson swanson

  • Thanks!

  • No voice recordings but you can hear Edwin Booth's voice, John's brother.

  • The picture with his fingers in his jacket, it's a Masonic thing, never noticed that, I just watched I theory of him dying MUCH later in life

  • This was a very good interpretation of the events....Yet there is more....as we soon shall see. The greatest story never told for the screen untill Now......BOOTH...by Marc Siciliani. Watch for it at a theatre near you.

The Booth ruled the American Stage......

  • Man please tell me where to get the book!!?

I have a book for you it is called Alias "Paine": Lewis Thornton Powell, the Mystery Man of the Lincoln Conspiracy by Betty J. Ownsbey. this women has taken 13 years just to study his life.

  • Yeah, I think I read that, too; thanks for the info!

  • There reportedly was a guard at the stairwell that led up to Lincoln's box, but Booth showed the guard his pass from the theater, and the guard granted him entry to the stairwell, which he ascended and then shot Lincoln.
