@animalsongs2011 - thanks for the info, David!

Not so about scrapping it. They've just had it rewired throughout and the console lovingly restored. It's there to stay.
-
@babiesdie - you can have this one! The buggers at Southwark are intent on scrapping it =(
-
@praisethelord333 - because they're more interested in 'Liturgie Animé pour les jeunes'... bastards. I say that as one of 'les jeunes' myself...

@nickgale1975 - au contraire, the Compton is a fine organ, one of Jimmy Taylor's last masterpieces. The reeds are particularly great. It is the sister of the St Bride Fleet Street organ, which is now rightly revered, with a much better acoustic than that at SBFS. I hear that David Coram has been overhauling your Compton, too. I am praying fervently for the dignified death of the Létourneau replacement organ scheme and for the magnificent Compton's complete historic restoration.

@nickgale1975 - 1958 Compton extension job of that size? If it's anything like Fleet Street, or the 1930 at Downside, or St Luke's Chelsea, it should be a national treasure! Compton was a genius, and Jimmy Taylor scarcely less so.

It was filmed at the Convocation of the Academy of St Cecilia at St George's Cathedral, Southwark, London, where I am the Director of Music. It was filmed after the Solemn Salve Regina was sung at the end of Vespers and Benediction, accompanied by Naji. he then improvised on the Salve. The organ is a bit of a heap - 1958 John Compton extension organ, 78 stops over 16 ranks! We need a new one!!

i think he left by himself.

why did they cancel him on trinite? :-( i hope that the church music keep his strong possition in france and that not ather churches take their good organ players away...
I've found the source! It's from the Academy of St Cecilia (link in the description).
