Guys the monster is the kid hence the trademark glasses the kid was wearing. Moral of it is that if u push someone to hard and try to make them perfect they turn into a monster which isn't wat u wanted them to be.

I think that they are trying to get the point across that if you treat your children like that then they will be pushed into "monsters" hands like shown in the video which will eventually turn you into a :monster" and that a "monster" will be the exact opposite of what you wanted from them.

@airialace1 The box the kid climbs into symbolizes Buddy's discovering of music as a means of escape from everything he/the kid in the video had been going through prior. The monster hands symbolize the addictive grip it had on him to the point where it was basically nefarious. Him then adopting the monster suit @ the end is supposed to be his way of taking back what his family took from him by writing his own songs & making his own rules. Buddy has said so in interviews.. that's how I know.

I was once hanging at the park with some friends when this guy brought his son and daughter to play. The boy was about 7 and girl was about 4. The guy put his son on this seat that spins around when you use your weight, and the boy span and fell and cried in pain. The dad goes up to him, picks him up, and puts him back on the seat while calling him a pussy. Telling him that he's no man and to stop crying. He put the girl on the seat, and said she had more balls than him. Pissed me off so much.
