@wr3ck Stupid sexy flanders.

As far as bass goes...Typically, you want a nice even clear signal response across the spectrum. Artificial "thumping" of bass, while it might be desirable for some, isn't always a good thing. A flatter frequency response will provide a more accurate sound (as the mixer intended) and if you prefer more "thump", just dial up your EQ a bit. Personally, I'd rather start with accurate and dial in EQ than to have to try and EQ out the artificial coloring of the sound. Just my thoughts. FWIW.

And dont let the lack of bass fool you. They can take a fair bit through EQ. Even better when amped.

Everyone should own a pair of ad700's, and then go from there. You simply will not find better for the price. Learn to appreciate open cans.

I'll be getting mine this week. So excited.

These, JVC ha rx900 or Audio technica ath m50? I will use them for gaming mostly with a mixamp. Which are best? Could you put them in an order 1 is best, 3 is worst etc. Thanks

Please, what headphone is more recommended for games (Easier to find enemys on call of duty mw2 or others) The Tritton AX720 or the Audio Technica AD700?
Thank you.

@mrjost55 - If you mean whether or not they can be heard by people around you, absolutely. They're open-air, not sealed.

these with a mixamp pro or the dx11 x11s with mixamp pro?
-
you hooked them into your monitor? Isnt it best to plug it in directly to the back of your soundcard?

@MLGSteggy How do these headphones perform with the astro mixamp, a reply would save a 300 dollar gamble.

I've got AKG K530's on the way, definitely going to do a review of them. Nice review, AD700 seems to be popular in Aus.
Clean review, just opened these phones. I agree with you 100%, you hit the nail on the head. What kind of mmicrophone did you record this with

@CallMePsych To be honest it was so long ago I can't remember. I want to say I recorded it with either my Astro A40's or my Tritton AX720's
