cams and exhaust can make an evo backfire when it hits the 2 step or between shifts but both dunnezer07 and 4b11t are correct for other ways to make it backfire in this case it is antilag tho

I am a fully qualified mechanic kid. I know what I am talking about. Why are you saying the same stuff over and over again? The anti lag just keeps the turbo spinning when you take your foot off the accelerator so no power is lost. Due to this unburned fuel makes it was into the exhaust which causes the misfire. Simple as. Also having an anti lag is nothing cool....its the perfect way to ruin an engine.
