I sang with Mimi in Norma in a production she did with PACT back in the late 1970's when her voice was a bit heavier than it is here and strangely enough the role really suited her. There was an Italian mezzo who was the Adalgisa and their two voices blended magically. The only major detraction to that time in Mimi's career was her terrible scoop up to every note, the beginnings of which can be clearly heard even here.

This was recorded in 1968 with the Vienna State Orchestra with Ernst Märzendorfer at the podium.
