@AnthemsToTheWelkin Grand Declaration was very much experimental. I love it's uncanny ways and certainly don't give a damn what conservative shit-eating black metal elitists think about it. I've heard something similar to Transylvanian Hunger performed by at least a hundred artists, it's nice to have something new regardless of what genre it may or may not conform to.

I like GDOW, but it's like an Alternative Black Metal album.

This guy is one of the most underrated musicians ever. What he did in Mayhem was pure genius, and even what he does in Ava Inferi (gothic metal) is very unique, the way he uses layers and unorthodox riffing is incredible. You gotta really pay attention to his compositions
