Just to be precise, I am not sure about the score but I think most probably it was 3 - 0 !

@caseislamabad But I must also mention that no doubt CASE has excellent faculty especially in control, power electronics and DSP etc and those senior professors are our mentors as well and we respect them a lot and are obliged to them for teaching us some very interesting courses and refining our skills! You people should feel really lucky to have these great professors among you and believe me you have a life-time opportunity to learn from them!

@caseislamabad Please don't get offended but seriously I don't think without mansoor's direct involvement and immense design support based on his strong mechatronics background,CASE students on their own can demonstrate such performance as such a involved mechanism design, control laws,instrumentation and intricate electrical and mechanical integration required for this work can't be delivered by those students alone who have zero background in mechanics,so major credit goes to Mansoor for this

@caseislamabad Yes that's true that many electrical engineering department in the world work in the area of robotics but they mostly work on their control, system theoretic aspects and dynamic modeling and not on mechanical design,,, Case doesn't have any faculty which can support mechanical design except one person (Shaukat Mansoor) who is himself a mechatronics engineer and that's why only after his induction in 2008 the CASE is in a position to surface up in the field of robotics..

@caseislamabad Our degree was the first who initiated the idea of Fire Fighting robotic competition now known as NERC ! At that time, people didn't even know which kind of motors they need to use and how and from where to get the machining job done. Most of time was spent in search of these things so students could not spend much time on real design issues but then in late years, this know-how enhanced and now ppl have not much worries about those logistic issues and they can focus more!

@caseislamabad and also let me tell you that no doubt your robot are really impressive and are better than that of ours at that time. Its good to see all this improvement. But you know that this is how the knowledge-base and know-how increases with time. New students build their knowledge on the experiences of previous people. When we did this project we didn't even know what kind & from where to buy motors and other parts. We wasted a lot of time in logistics and searching for right resources!

@caseislamabad We won our match by 3 - 0 !

@caseislamabad Thanks a lot! I don't know about any other match but I do know about the one which I was part of. We won our first group match against turkey that was held in Seoul at Olympic gymnasium in Sep 2004. The team from NUST MTS participated in this and Dr. Javed followed the team. The match was shown on PTV as well back then. Because during those days youtube kind of websites were not that common so you might not find videos for that, probably ! But please trust my words !

We have deleted the post. will wait for any updates from your side and will investigate further. We will update accordingly. There is no intention of undermining efforts of any other university especially NUST which is the top ranked university of our country.
Regards,
ROBOCON TEAM from CASE has won the 'Best Project' award in all the categories of COMPPEC 2011 held at EME College NUST.

Robotics is field for machatronics. why CASE is so interested in robotic while they are offering electrical engg????.............. I think CASE should do something in their own field not only in robotics

@raja957
Please have a look at various Electrical and Computer Engineering departments around the world and you will find Robotics groups under those degrees. We have an Electrical & Computer Engineering degree not Electrical only. Even that does not restrict Electrical Departments to have a robotics group.
caseislamabad channel is linked with CASE Robotics Group so you will find only robotics related work here. sorry for inconvinience.
