Great examples of wake turbulence on short final into Tucson, Intl. This is the only time I've actually experienced the WT leftovers on a landing. Its really impressive how it continues all the way through touchdown. Don't want to know what it would be like to really experience it.

  • I'm visiting your video trying to understand the accident were a Learjet crashed due to Wake Turbulence... do you think it's impossible to recover from the kind of turbulence generated by a Boeing 767 that were 4 - 5 miles ahead in a Learjet 45 at 9700 feet?

  • It is possible. WT is a nasty thing. Did the WT create severe turbulence for the Lear that created severe stresses above Va (maneuvering speed)? Can you provide the crash report number so that it can be researched?

Separation is not about mileage, as much as time. WT can last for several minutes. That is the key.

  • How did you get your camera so steady? What kind of mount did you use?

  • Just a tripod mounted in the back seat... and no - it is NOT a sim.

  • Got to love wake turbulence. What were you following ?

  • Its been a while - but I'm pretty sure it was a SW 737

  • Looks like fun but the better decision would have been to abort, assuming the pilot didn't have to badly use the washroom, of course.

  • Nice job mate!
