So, what happened to settling other planets? (or did I miss that in the video?) Wouldn't that have settled the population problem? I suppose that could be something for the future beyond 3000.

Yes, Rhonda, the humans of 2007 had a long way to go. Many hardships, trials and tribulations will face your generation and many generations that follow, but humanity has survived in great numbers and the world today (3000AD) has achieved the good will, mutual respect and cooperation that some people of your time (2007AD) could only wish for. You would be welcome amongst us.
