I don't support piracy, but it has had one positive effect on the industry:
Most games, videos and music can be easily bought on the net.
The industry still has a long way to go.
We need a better selection and easier ways to obtain the respective material digitally.
Give the people more music file types like FLAC and OGG, introduce the ability to purchase episodes of series simultaneously with the episodes airing(globally) and up the selection of digital games(GO gog.com!)
That's the only way!

@jokemasterslifer: I agree completely. We live in a fascist country. Our government is way too large and takes way too much from us. What the government doesn't take from us we're supposed to spend on giant corporations that our government empowers through regulation and bailouts. We're getting attacked on both sides by government and corporation. Fuck the whole goddamn corrupt system.
