This time I set my sound recorder under the tree whilst filming and it worked rather well. :)

  • That separate sound recorder makes all the difference!

  • It does, it's great a really good tool. I have had it for a year and only just started using it properly and am well impressed with it. It's so easy to use as well.

  • Wow they are really getting big! Bet it won't be long before the fledge. Thanks, Ang

  • I hope I catch it on video. :)

  • Sadly I can't see the nest from the house any more, the trees have all gone green and are in front of the nest, I have to go out to the field to see it. :( However, I can put the camera in the bedroom now and then and see if I see any changes in behaviour. :)

  • Thank you Mooz, I was glad to get the sound with it. The camera has to be quite far away so I don't normally get sound and have to record that seperately.

  • The chances are pretty good. I always see mine leaving the nest. The parents will sit just out of reach of the nest, the babies will be sqwaking because they want to EAT but they won't be fed. They parents encourage them for hours, it seems like. So if they are anything like the birds I have, your chances are pretty good. GOOD LUCK!!

  • You got some excellent footage.

    Mooz

  • Thanks Judy, I was surprised that she didn't feed them more, that was only one feeding in about 40 mins.

  • I don't know Beth but I would love to film them leaving the nest, but what's the chances of that? lol Pretty slim I think.
