In order for professional development to be effect, teachers need to have ownership of the process.

Teachers being encouraged to build their own personal learning network

As Alvin Toffler once said "The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read or write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn. "
