Wanted to get familiar with the PDK and SDK of the Touchpad, so I figured if I could see if I could compile things I use.

As title says, just a proof of concept, input is still messed up in both, and for some reason mame doesnt initialize soundcard in first run (why it runs sf2 for about 3 seconds, then quits). And not optimized or anything, so probably someone who knows what they are doing could make it run faster.

Ran in the ubuntu chroot, but would be probably trivial to make it run natively? And seeing as SDL works, I would expect more good things to come.

Recorded with some crappy digicam, so forgive the extremely poor quality. The games actually look extremely well on the touchpad. Im no video expert, so Im not ever sure if recording it in the dark was the right thing. oh well, its watchable.

And wow, the speakers on the touchpad rock. very good for a tablet.

The grey/white bar at the bottom is the top row of the virtual keyboard. The first script I run is just a script to kill dosbox at a certain point.

  • @Malkasphia Mame and dosbox have been around for ages, if thats what youre asking? I just modified them to compile and "run" on the touchpad, which uses an ARM processor.

  • Wow...this actually looked really compelling. Was this an emulator you made or one that was available for download?
