I heard Nick come into his room.
Hmm..he was back early.
I got up and went to his room and knocked on his door.
"Come in." He called out.
I walked in, and Nick was sprawled out on his bed.
"Dude,what happened?Why are you back so soon?"I asked, going and sitting on his bed next to him.
He sat up and looked over at me and then down at the floor.
"Well..I told her we were moving and she got really upset, then she said she didn't know if she'd want to hang out with me til we had to leave, cuz all she'd be thinking about was me leaving and then when I told her I loved her, all she said was ok..." He said sadly.
Poor guy, no wonder he came home early, what was wrong with that girl?
"Aw man, I'm sorry Nick, thats rough." I said, putting my hand on his shoulder.
"Thanks bro, I just can't believe she just said ok, I felt so sure she loved me too." He said, shaking his head, setting his curls to shaking.
"Well at least you told her, now you know how she feels. What happened after that?" I asked.
"Um...I just left." He said, not looking at me.
"What?! You mean you just left her in the park by herself after you told her all that?! Are you insane?" I yelled at him.
The boy had obviously gone crazy.
"I know! I was just so upset, I left before I said something i'd regret!" He yelled back.
"Hey! Hey! Whats with all the yelling?" Kevin asked, coming into the room.
"Nick told Meagan we were and moving and that he loved her, then he just left her in the park by herself!" I said, trying to calm down.
"What!" Kevin said, coming to stand in front of Nick. "Why'd you do that?!"
"I don't know! I wasn't thinking." Nick said, looking at the ground.
"Obviously." Kevin and I said at the same time.
"Ok, can we talk about something else now." Nick said, falling back on his bed.
"Fine, but I think you should go talk to her again." Kevin said, he came and sat next to Nick.
"Yeah I think so too." I said, sitting on the other side of Nick.
"Yeah well, I don't think so.I have no idea what i'd say to her." Nick said, sitting up and looking at us.
"Well for starters, how about telling her sorry." Kevin said, crossing his arms.
"Tell her sorry! She should tell me sorry! I tell her I love her and all I get back is an ok." Nick said angrily, leaping up and starting to pace back and forth in front of me and Kevin.
"He has a point there, that was kind of rude of her just to say ok."I said,looking over at Kevin.
"Yeah true, what are you gonna do now?" Kevin asked.
"I don't know, I need sometime to think." Nick said, he stopped pacing and sat back down.
"Ok, I take that as our cue to leave. If you wanna talk some more, my doors open." Kevin said.
"Yeah same for me, but not for the next hour or so, cuz i'm going to call Sarah in a few minutes and ask her if I can come over, so I won't be here." I said, grinning, then getting a little nervous as I started thinking about meeting Sarah, what if she had the same reaction as Meagan....
"What?" Nick asked, wondering why Joe looked so nervous.
"Well...what if...what if..." I stuttered.
"What? Spit it out." Kevin said, staring at Joe curiously.
"What if she doesn't love me back?" I said, looking at Kevin.
"Well then she's crazy." Kevin said, grinning.
"Dude i'm serious." I said, frowning at Kevin.
"I am too, if she doesn't love you back, then she's not worth it." He said seriously.
"Thanks bro, that means alot, but I hope she does." I said, smiling a little.
"I hope so too, but it'll be hard to try to stay in a relationship once we leave." Kevin said.
"Don't you think I know that? But I have to try." I said, getting up and heading to the door.
"Where are you going?" Nick asked.
"I'm gonna go call Sarah and ask her if I can come over, I need to talk to her now." I said, heading to my room.
I really hope she said I could come over, I couldn't wait any longer.
I had to know how she felt....
