  • I miss Brisco County Jr, too. I didn't hear about Julius Carry passing away. R.I.P.

  • @4thtroika - Yeah, unfortunately his death didn't get a lot of coverage.

  • His line delivery is truly bad. love how he says his lines. Like reading from an eye chart. Still love the Human Tornado opening scenes.. Screwing the sherrifs white wife.. Jumping over a hill nude and shit.. And gets in his get away car screaming.. Drive, nigga, drive.

  • Yup, there will never be another Rudy Ray Moore.

  • Not a bad review. But please for the love of the DISCO GODFATHER dont ever do another Rudy Ray Moore impression that other people can hear. I heard its illegal for white people to do that or something.

  • That's JULIUS J CARRY THE III to you motherfucka!

  • Dude, I miss exploite shit!! Now have ultra cheesey mainstream crap with big budget but no original idea.

  • LOL I wanna see this.

  • That's interesting about the lighting--hopefully someday a better print will be released on DVD.

That's quite the accomplishment, man. You ARE very lucky to get to see any Rudy Ray Moore film on the bring screen. Pretty cool.

  • Frank Finn's character... WOW... he seems a little credible!... i don't know if any art houses exist in your town, but there was a print from XENON presented there last night with Jamaa Fanaka's Penitentiary 3...

I can cross another seemingly impossible occurence off the bucket list..... i can say.....with GREATNESS... I.... WATCHED...THE DISCO...GODFATHER....starring RUDY (echo) RAY (echo) MOORE (echo)... ON THE BIG SCREEN!

  • I also noticed that the film's key moment when the old man who's "ol bitch (SHEILA- the dog) ran away" is murdered and Tucker receives a dead dog at his door... his reaction in the original print is a more PROLONGED "oh no no no"...

Also, this film WAS really poorly lit... BUT(!).. it may surprise you that much of the murkiness evident on VHS and DVD versions are ACTUALLY the result of transfers!... the film was crisp and clear...so much so, in fact that i didn't laugh 1/2 as much at Detective

  • WHOOAAAA NELLY!!... i feel like i just came back from a SPACE launch... I just caught THE DISCO GODFATHER at the New Beverly Cinema Last night in LA.... ON... (drumroll).... a 35mm PRINT!...

now, pause to catch your breath!

I've got to say that some of the scenes seem to be slightly shifted and dubbed in the DVD release. The ending seemed to be a bit longer as well on the big screen... merely another couple of seconds of hallucinating and screaming :) (u'll an abrupt cut via freeze frame)
