"more personal than public"
I find those are easier to work on.
-
What more can be said than Elder Holland spoke the truth?
The Book of Mormon, like it or not, IS the word of God.
How do I know? God told me.
James 1: 5-6 and Moroni 10:3-5.....try if for yourself.
Best wishes - Dan Maloy

Before setting out in orderly pairs to spread their gospel door-to-door,
almost all U.S. Mormon missionaries pass through the Provo Missionary
Training Center.

The BYU professor of corpus linguistics has created the free-access, web-based database allowing users to quickly search conference talks from 1851 to the present day.

Mark Davies' "Corpus of LDS General Conference Talks" -- found at corpus.byu*edu/gc -- contains the 10,000-plus addresses given and more than 24 million words spoken during the past 160 years of semi-annual general conferences of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Photography came of age at the same time as Mormonism -- and they moved west together. Anderson's mentor, Charles Roscoe Savage, settled in Utah a little ahead of the arrival of William Henry Jackson and the other Western survey photographers.

@martinh103 "All HE asked for was to believe in him"
My Christ says we have to do MORE than believe, we have to keep His commandments. You might try that instead of LYING about what Christ says.
-
@martinh103 - of course he didn't discuss anything. Everything we have is based on Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Peter, Paul, and others... the organization of the church was evident. God is a God of order; he who brings order from chaos in the universe certainly did not leave the earth with a "follow me how you feel you should" order. What was Christ doing for that 40 days he visited the Apostles? Why else would Paul have mentioned to the Ephesians more about this church org if it were not so?
-
@omiolo Get a grip ! Jesus didnt discuss matrons, counsellors or first presidencies. All HE asked for was to believe in him, and believe the good news, and follow it and him. Did Jesus mention ANYTHING else?
Christ will ask you....... why did you follow Monson, when I clearly asked you to follow ME .
-
@THELDSLIFE John 14;6 should explain why you must not follow Smith.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me... This means Not the BOM. Smith , good works, temple rituals, Kinderhook plates , magic undergarments, falsely trranslated book of Abraham ( which turns out to be the Egyptian book of breathings ).. and many more, and especially NOT MONSON. ( Jesus says " but by me ")
-
@THELDSLIFE Dont insult my intelligence . You LDS are all the same , you answer a Q with a Q. J Smith and the BOM has more holes in it than the wall at the St Valentines day masasacre. If only the reply tab in youtube had 10.000 characters, then I could tell you them all, Facts, not just my own feelings.
If Monson says jump you jump, if Monson says dont fart, you wont, Monson has NO authority in my life except the words of CHRIST, and HIS words ONLY. Come back to Jesus, b4 its too late.
Galatians 1:6-8 (New International Version, ©2011)
No Other Gospel 6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7 which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse!

@martinh103 - what astonishes me more is how LITTLE people know of the context that this verse of admonishment of Paul to the Galatians and what relevance it could have to ANYONE but his counsel to them. Furthermore, reading Acts... Galatians chapters 2-3 (meaning, READ ON to learn more) would give one a much clearer understanding of Paul and why he said those things.
Paul would not discount or discredit himself, or PETER or JOHN the Revelator from receiving angels both presently and future 1's.

@THELDSLIFE The context of this verse is very clear. NO other book, scripture, verses, or any other doctrine is valid. This means the BOM is false, along with your ( so called ) prophet ( profit ) .
The bible also states you should stay clear of angels of light, look up Corinthians 11;14.
Also look up the FACTUAL history of Smith. LDS members... come back to Jesus and stop following a false prophet.

@martinh103 - Where is the true and living prophet? Who alive today do you follow?
