I wasn't too into Castanics as a race at first, there was something about their lore and overall looks that didn't strike me like "evil/darkish/devilish" races usually do. However, once I arrived to Castanica for the first time, my view on them quickly changed: Looking around and listening to the background music/s for a while it felt like I finally started to get a bigger, brighter picture of the race, as if I finally understood what they're really about. And not to mention how at home I felt playing a Castanic male as my main character. I think I'm slowly growing a liking to Castanics. Maybe they're still not as fancy in my eyes as my current favourite race in the game, High Elves, but they're alright.
Nothing much to show again, another lazily finished test subject if you want to call it that. When I'm in the mood I tend to make several tests for the fun of it instead of going for one huge project, it irks me having several video ideas in my head when I'm supposed to be concentrating on one big project.

Q: Why did you choose a Castanic as your playable character if you didn't like them?
A: Funny story, my very first character was a High Elf male berserker, which I deleted shortly after playing till lvl 10 with it just 'cos I didn't feel like I would ever play with that specific character again. I wasn't able to make my High Elf look original in the editor, and there weren't many good hairstyles or colours to choose from, so as a back-up plan I ended up trying if I could make a Castanic male look more appealing to myself. And would you look at that, I really enjoyed the look of my Castanic, and still do, so there we go. I did it FOR THE LOOKS, even if only facial, I still prefer High Elf armors way over the Castanic ones, I really do.
Q: Why is this video in different size than your previous one?
A: When rendering the fish video I didn't realize that I had the video size set differently than what the size for the actual clips were, but after noticing that I set it right for this video. Why my videos aren't more than 640x480 is because I'm recording in half-size, and I don't feel like I need to set it to any other size just for the sake of test videos.
Q: Am I seeing things or is the quality of this video also of lower quality in resolution/pixels compared to your fish video?
A: It might seem like it, in this video I used the zoom-in option quite often to get only the material I wanted to be seen since I wasn't able to get any closer to certain objects without ruining the shot, while with the fish video I used almost none since I was able to get really close to them fishies. Also note that the background objects in Castanica are already somewhat crusty, and I added extra contrast and bright red and violet colours there ontop of that.
Q: What effects did you use in this one?
A: Mostly all same effects can be found in my fish video aswell, so nothing worth mentioning.
Q: Where did you get all those sound effects?
A: Unlike in the fish video, all the sound effects in this can be found in the actual game except for the very last scene. And yes, I was lazy with the sounds here.
Q: What's the music used in this one called?
A: It's a self-shortened version of the Castanica theme by Inon Zur & Rod Abernethy.
Q: Did you plan your video (what to record / how to edit) beforehand?
A: I had an idea of what I was going to do, but it didn't work out when I finally had everything listed for shooting, so I ended up recording all kinds of clips and then somehow put them together. Planning too much before the actual editing part has never been my style, I prefer playing around with the clips and editing tools and figuring out along the way what might look good in the finished version of the current project.
Q: How long did it take to make this?
A: Didn't keep too much track of the time, but I guess something around a week. Least 1-2 hours per day were spent either recording or editing.
Q: Would you care to explain the story in this?
A: Certainly. Boy meets girl, girl meets boy. Though I think it's easier to understand if I just say... It "artistically" shows temptation and lust in action. Castanics are some very lustful lil fellers afterall. Oh and, no worries, the game is rated M for Mature.
Q: Have you considered shooting a short movie instead of doing just short videos?
A: The idea has crossed my mind a few times, but again, I don't plan my videos too much beforehand, and making a short movie would most likely require the assistance of other players, so I have high doubts about me making a short movie. Short trailer videos with a little help from others maybe, but minimovies no, I'm not even nearly ready for anything that big. Besides, I enjoy making these shorter videos.
