"One of the great movers of modern dance" (The New York Times) and "one of modern dance's great living dance-makers" (New York Magazine), David Parsons and Parsons Dance return to Manhattan Movement Art Center, June 6- 7, 2012. David Parsons' newest dance, Round My World, is set to digitized solo cello music by musician/composer Zoe Keating. Keating makes intricate, complex and entrancing ribbons of sound which David Parsons wraps and unwraps around six dancers. The program also features David Parsons' 2003 classics Swing Shift and Hand Dance, with music by Kenji Bunch, as well as, the seductive samba rhythms of Nascimento. Both performances include David Parsons' stroboscopic masterwork, Caught.
