  • @sethburgess im in the process of getting that converted on to dvd

  • then in 1968 the pennslyvania railroad (the owner that owned the tracks to sodus point) merged with the new york central and created the only major rail road to go bankrupt penncentral this railroad had no money so they never took care of there lines and in the 70's they abandoned the line but left the tracks. so 8 years later penncentral merged with a couple of other bankrupt railroads and created conrail in 1975 the coal pier in sodus point was being taken down and it was acidently burned down

  • well @sethburgess to my knowlege being 14 i know that the yard was a clasification yard for coal because there was a coal pier that extended out into the bay for ships coming from canada or where ever but it was also a place for steam engine servicing and there was a 3 engine round house and is still there for boat parts lol in front of the roundhouse was in front of it but it was filled in, in the mid 70's it was also a place where the genesee bear plant was and that is still there.

  • Yeah, sounds great to do on a nice evening after work or on a Saturday you stay locally around the neighborhood.
