Alexandria, Virginia May 6th, 2011 VRE & Amtrak Evening Rush

Arriving in the DC area on May 6th, the first stop was Alexandria, VA. Here, VRE and Amtrak share the rails with CSX and the occasional NS train. From 4pm to 7:30 PM, this is what we saw.
Some interesting things in the video are:
- All but 1 of the delivered VRE MP36s are shown.
- VRE Train 313 is running with 2 locomotives, one MP36 and 1 RP39-2C.

Excellent vid, Jimmy. VRE seems like a cool railroad. I like their equipment, and their paint scheme is awesome.:)

The railroad is a nice railroad for it's small size. Soon it will all be MP36s as VRE has sold all but 2 of their Geeps and F40s (yet some still run). However, their employees are extremely friendly all around.

Nice catches. That train with 175 and the baggage car is probably train #80.
