If u have health problem or serious weight problem I prefer u do tai chi.it really helps slot without medication.for example my grandpa whom were having health problem around age 50s, he started tai chi every morning none stop 40 years,he's body move just like 30s. Well the sadness is he just past away on the car accident otherwise he could
Still live
On and on!!

so where is this temple located. i would love to visit it one day..
-
i wonder how old is this master?
-
Can you maybee say a little bit more about the relation between Chen Taiji and Rou Quan ?:)Kind regards,Darius
-
Yeah, he meant it as in the roots come from there, in fact most of the softness and inner strength was lost to the south until one monk left shaolin and traveled China to find other masters once more, He came back and they together formed most of the styles that are out today.before them there was only the traditional stuff like 18 lohan fist.
-
Yea, i remember seeing my sifu do this form, he learned from a shaolin lineage of a monk. I have heard they do this and another soft slower for as a morning routine to wake up their bodies.
-
This is a great great clip.
Heard of all other forms of Taichi except Shaolin's.
-
"Taichi originated from the Shaolin Temple"
< -- what is the host talking about ?
-
This set is known as Shaolin Rou Quan Yi Lu (first road of Shaolin Soft or Flexible Boxing).
It is part Qi Gong and part long fist.
it is a root style to what later influenced the development of Chen TJQ, along with Tongbei Quan.
-
happy3bitches you are soooo wrong.
-
His empty hand form has bits of sword form technique in it.
-
This is certainly interesting, good balance, and good focus. You don't see this on youtube every day...
I notice he is doing these forms on a wet surface! Very difficult.
-
Chen village is right near Shaolin.
-
yumeji1
agreed, taichi was created by 'jurng sum fong' and was done in wudong
like karate, its roots maybe from shaolin, but i don't think it was developed there person say.
-
No Tai Chi did not originate from Shaolin Kung Fu, but of the 5 main styles of Tai Chi, 2 were based on Kung Fu. And Tai Chi has been practiced by the monks for a long time, so what's to say it isn't Shaolin Tai Chi? Kung Fu is a mix of many styles internal, external, hard and soft.
-
Just because Tai Chi is Wudang doesn't mean Shaolibn doesnt practice Tai Chi, Wudang students and Shaolin students often intermingled and exchanged styles. For example, Tanglang's Mantis fist was invented by a Shaolin monk (Tanglang) but spread around by a Taoist.
-
I'm not saying I think these guys are doing anything other than modern style, but I was wondering about your knowledge of Shaolin. You seem very sure about what you know, and I was just wondering what kind of background you have.
-
no shaolin has internal arts to it too!
like bagua and xing i. they also did a shaolin temple like tai chi too.
from 0:6 to 0:09 look for something but not the fighter!
