  • woahhhh this is REALLY good. you have a really high voice and its very nice!! you have good tone:) i am doing this for solo and ensemble this year!

  • Thanks for the generous comments. If you would like a practice midi file of this piece, just specify a tempo and key, and tell me where to e-mail it, and I will send the file right away. Thanks again for listening and commenting!

  • Amazing version of this piece. Though I would like to pitch some ideas to make it even better. You took this very slow (well, actually at the recommended tempo), but the problem is that Lotti hadn't put that there, Dr. Theodore Baker did (and the guy added a lot of things that make me cringe like ex. his translations).

You could clean up your diction a bit

    BoK-Ka BoK-Ka BeL-La

You sounded the same throughout the piece. Add in a Forte for the first bocca and then decrescendo on the next one.

  • Thank you for the excellent suggestions. I agree that the tempo is very "romantic", and I do find your illustrations of the double consonants to be quite helpful. And although I do try to vary the dynamics throughout the piece, the changes to not come across very well in the sound recording which is fairly crude. Thanks again for the great suggestions and for taking the time to listen and to offer constructive criticism.

  • I'm performing this for State Solo and Ensemble- Fl. thank you soo much for this. I hope to gain my doctorates in Music Ed. and Performance. thank you for being yet another admirable inspiration! keep singing! :]

  • Thanks for the kind words. If you would like a practice midi file of this aria, just specify a key, a tempo, and tell me where to e-mail it, and I will get it to ASAP. Thanks again for listening and commenting!

  • They didn't have metronomes when Lotti was around, but the bel canto tempo really makes the piece much more buoyant and full of life. You did a great job - agree with others. You sound great. Bravo!
