Cann anyone tell me the location of where the public congregate to watch the launch? I seen some footage of a huge countdown clock. Im planning to take the kids for the July 11 launch.
I can understand the filming going a little haywire as when the boosters dispatch the shuttle nearly becomes invisible through a video camera,it just turns into a tiny dot.
I saw the launch of the shuttle yesterday 23rd oct from titusville and it was superb.Titusville is the place to be as easy access and lots of room to film.I was lucky to see it as i was on holiday from England and it was launched two days before going home and a short drive from Orlando.I recommend anyone to make the effort to see that thing take off. Good vid
Cool to see how fast you see it (speed of light 186,000 miles per second) and how much longer it takes for that slow sound (approx 760 mph) to get there.
WONDERFULL!!

Man, I'd love to see a launch first hand like that. That is amazing.

It was a decent video until about 1:08 in when they stopped paying attention to what they were filming for a while
