Oh, this was filmed at Berowra Waters, Sydney, Australia. We rented there for a year. Magical.

everyone, I was the one on the thing in the video, we were going slow because we were new at it, the first guy for the day fell off and busted his eardrum so we found out pretty damn fast that this thing is dangerous. We were basically shit scared to get any height. We also found later that we hooked the rope up to the wrong part of the mantaray. Good fun though, but not tried it since.

what lake is that

Oh, sure. Who even cares? I mean, yeah, too bad. But you don't need to go and say, "I broke my arm and leg! But I'm still a stupid jerk, so I'm gonna go lie about my speed and give lame advice!"
-
Wow, that kinda sucks.
You just sit there? Sad.
-
wow looks dangerous... and by the looks of it must be tough getting air and sustaining it...
-
it is meant to fly.

I fell off mine and totally broke off my head, it was nasty. Doctors managed to re-attach it and I'm back on the ray ROCK
i wouldnt sell that thing in the U.S. if I where the companies CEO, they probably have 20 lawsuits allready.

We had a guy get knocked unconscious by a nasty fall from high up and fast. A helmet and a life jacket are a must!

Depends on weight of person but for a 70kg (140lbs) person you need 40mph airspeed. This sport is dangerous.

Our first attempt ended up with a friend hurting his eardrum. I ski helmet is a must for this.
