Carrie will always have my respect as a performer. She is really talented. She can't hold a candle to Linda Ronstadt in this performance (see Atlanta '77 live), but she clearly has a sweet, sensitive soul with a lot of passion and it comes out in her performances.

oooooops......"fine" should have been FIND...typo error.. :)

A KARAOKE of this version would be awesome and greatly appreciated. I couldn't fine any Female version Karaoke or instrumental in Female voice key.

a great song made by the legendary eagles... not many covers imo can rival with the eagles, an while the eagles version will always be the best, this is pretty damn good

She was sick here? 0o This is one of my favorite live performances of all time!

@dollarbill2208 yes, that's Carrie's band backing Carrie up -

Never mind, that's my bad. She does have a real band. I didn't notice them the first time. But still, she's very much in the ballpark of the original.

The problem is when you say "nothing can compare," this phrase makes it sound like you believe anything other than the Eagles is an absolute injustice to the song. Just because the Eagles are the original artist does not make them the defaut almighty for a particular song. The quality is actually VERY comparable. Why not? Because Carrie didn't have a real band backing her up? That actually makes it all the more impressive that she could get even remotely close.
