Thats incredibly false. Marine Corps training instills discipline, teamwork, and courage. Pretty sure all of those are required in combat. They learn even more about future combat environments and scenarios through MCT, SOI, and pre deployment training. Which currently takes place in Twentynine Palms, California specifically to help instruct Marines on how to fight in urban and desert environments such as the Afgan and Iraq. Boot Camp is the very basic training...you clearly know

Boot Camp is actually horrible training if you think about it... The entire point of it is indoctrination. The training is useless unless you're going to go back in time and fight in vietnam.
