I will never forget inviting Rudy out from California to dinner in norhtern NJ. I was in high school then ... back in the early 70's ... listening to his songs on my Victrola while the rest of my classmates listend to the Dead! He is timeless!

Notice how much of the music of that era sounded alike no matter where is was played! And his singing style was copied by so many.
May he rest in peace and all of the other people in this film. What was entertainment back then has not always translated to greatness in this century.

I got to see Rudy Vallee lots of times in the 1920's and 1930's. It was an experience that I will never forget. Rest your soul Rudy.
