Oh. My. God.
Thanks so much for putting this up!! I'm a huge Michael Gruber fanatic and always wanted to see him as the Tin Man but never thought that anyone would ever put any videos of him up (I've looked all over here, on Amazon, and even eBay). And he's just as fantastic as I might have expected. Thanks again!!

Sure did. Michael was Munkustrap. Ken was Old Deuteronomy in CATS. That's how I know them from.

How can she throw a fireball like that at 5:10? I want to a special effect in one of my musicals where I can use fire coming out of the broomstick I saw on the press reel part 2 you uploaded.

Munkustrap is that you? :')

I like this, but his role as Munkustrap will always be my favorite.

Michael Gruber was better as Munkustrap in cats but this was ok

@WizardofOzfan39 Actually, if you have read L. Frank Baum's The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Boq is a Munchkin that Dorothy meets on her way to the Emerald City before she even runs into the Scarecrow.

I almost didn't recognize him cause he made his voice a little higher pitch than he did when he was Munkustrap!!!!!!!!!!

This is as high of quality as it gets. Remember this WAS 1997. Digital cameras were only for the rich, and even so, they weren't of great quality. This is a transfer of an analog VHS tape.

I love Michael Gruber. He is third best Boq the Tin Man. I loved him as Munkustrap in CATS

He is the Tin Man. Boq is a character from WICKED. There is no such character as "Boq the Tin Man." In the world of the Wizard of Oz, Boq is in fact the Mayor of Munchkinland.

In April 2008, The Wizard of Oz will be coming back to Madison Square Garden. The costumes and sets are different. It also features an unknown cast. This is to honor the Wizard of Oz celebrating it's 70th Anniversary.

Is this a new production for the anniversary or is this just a stop for the current national tour?
