While I'm one of many Mountaineer fans that have a real sour taste in my mouth over Coach Rod leaving for Michigan, I give him credit for 2 things during his tenure:
1. He stated that Pat White would go down as the best player in WVU history.
2. His spread offense; which was tailor made for White, Slayton, and Schmidt, played havoc with opposition starting in his second year of coaching. This put WVU football on the map.

Not sure why you've got -4 thumbs down, but I agree 100% Rich Rodriguez got WVU to where it was. I don't see why people still hold a grudge. It's his life, it's over with. WVU is doing just fine without him.
