In this remarkable and rare video from the special collections of the Gelman Library at GWU, President Ronald Reagan sings the Eureka College alma mater with the Troubador Singing Group. University Marshall Jill Kasle introduces the singing group as GW President Stephen Joel Trachtenberg sits with President Reagan. Watch closely the emotion on Reagan's face.
In March of 1991, GWU held a ceremony to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the tragic assasination attempt that nearly took the life of President Reagan and the emergency care he recevied from The George Washington University Medical Center. GW conferred an honorary degree during a special ceremony in Lisner Hall, Washington, D.C. and also presented a suprise performance of the alma mater of President Reagan's alma mater, Eureka College.

@MichiganShawn He didn't get Alzheimers until 1994. Now, he had some memory problems from the middle 1980s on, but that happens with some people passed the age of 70.
