This is part 1 of 2 videos featuring John Malcolm playing his 12 string guitar. View both as they are actually the one piece representing most of the improvised 20 minute epic John played that afternoon. The recently restrung 12-string is back in action. Songs here include: Catfish; My Girl; Crazy Momma and Take a walk on the wild side.

  • @MrBavelaar I take that as a compliment; I love those guys and wish the media would play more than the same 2 or 3 songs out of their vast repertoire.

  • An old Schailer pickup It is going through a Boss CS-2 Compressor pedal with the Sustain knob at about 10 o'clock. Next the signal goes through the early model Boss Loopstation, which is just providing a deep drone in the background. Next it goes through a Lexicon reverb delay in the rack, and from there to the mixer. You can see my left foot reach out when turning the looper on and off.
