Sunday 11 September, 2011
11.00 am to 4.00 pm

Make sure you don't miss Sydney's most colourful spring festival, The Festival of the Winds kite flying festival which promises to be a great day out for the whole family. Colourful cartoon characters, giant animals and flowers, fighter kites, box kites, delta kites and more make the skies come alive over Sydney's most famous beach! Australian and international kite flyers will show us their great flying skills and wonderful hand-made creations from 11am with winners announced at 3pm on the day. Why not join in and fly your own kite on the beach or make your own wonderful creation at one of the kite making workshops on offer throughout the day!

Food stalls from all over the world, free dance workshops, children's rides, workshops, activitites, roaming entertainment, puppet shows, art exhibitions in the Bondi Pavilion Gallery and demonstrations all make the Festival of the Winds one of Sydney's most loved and lively annual events.

There's so much to do and see at this year's FESTIVAL OF THE WINDS, so if you're up for a great day out, then the only place to be on Sunday 11 September is down at Bondi Beach for Sydney's most visually exciting, fun-filled, family-friendly festival.
